Wednesday 09 August 2017. Revival of green tobacco processing.

Proti Serron. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 4:30 in the morning, the meeting took place in Hayati Ladia ..... We have arrived at the tobacco field of Yiannis Tsiamos, Kladoures region, where with the background of the beautiful Pangeo, the ripe tobacco is waiting for us to break it and then to smoke it, experiencing thus the processing of tobacco and learning in this way what the summers of our parents and grandparents were like through this work for many dozens.... 

      In the evening at 22.00, at "Technochoro Klik", a tribute to tobacco with texts, photos and videos. The day is dedicated to the processing of green tobacco in collaboration with the Folklore Museum "Hayati Ladia" & the internet group "PROTI SERRON BACK TO THE ROOTS". It continued from 22:00 until the early hours of the morning, in Proti & Technohoros klik, the tribute to our dear Yiannis Tsiamos who we collaborated with great joy and enthusiasm from early in the morning in his field, then in his loggia, with video and photos. 

     We have created an amazing legacy archive for the younger generation, in one of the professions that were lost in the years when our parents and grandparents fought for the daily survival of the family. Yiannis Tsiamos, this noble man is the last tobacco producer in Proti Serron in our village. I would like to thank Technohoros Klik for providing the space in a green environment where our event took place with the projection of video and photographic material.
