In the courtyard of the "Hayati Ladia" museum in Proti, the theatrical performance "When I came ... refugee memories" tells the story of the uprooting and relocation of refugees to the new homeland from Eastern Thrace, Pontus and Asia Minor.

     The performance is based on the oral testimonies of the descendants of the refugees, but also of the locals from Proti and the surrounding villages, enlivening human memory with words, objects, smells, tastes, sounds and music.

     With the theatrical performance "When I came...Memories of a refugee" closed the dedication of the events of the folklore museum "Hayati Ladia" to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor disaster.
