We thank the descendants of the 1922 refugees who settled in Proti Serres, who gave us their family heirlooms from Asia Minor,
with the purpose of holding the Periodical Exhibition: "From uprooting to the new homeland...the generations tell stories" in the context of the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor disaster.
In addition, we sincerely thank them for sharing their personal memories and demographic data with Vasiliki Ladia, creator of the Folklore Museum, thus feeding back the research, assuming the moral burden of their presentation in the museum space.
The exhibition took place from June to December 2022 at the Hayati Ladia Folklore Museum and was curated by Historian-Museologist Giota Vassiliadou.
